The McHenry County College (MCC) volleyball team is ranked in the top 25 nationally in a National Junior College Athletic Association Division II volleyball presason poll.
The Scots, who made the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament in 2015, were ranked 16th in the Aug. 16 poll, according to njcaa.org.
MCC will be getting plenty of chances against several of the the other nationally ranked teams this season.
The Scots will face No. 11 Illinois Central on Saturday, Aug. 27, in the Kankakee Tournament, and host No. 13 Waubonsee on Sept. 8.
During the Kirkwood Invitational on Sept. 9-10 at Iowa City, MCC will face No. 12 Cowley County, No. 1 Parkland, No. 9 Central Community College and No. 8 Kirkland.
The Scotts will take on No. 18 Sauk Valley in the Waubonsee Invitational on Sept. 16.
MCC will face Lake County in its first home game at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30.
