The village of Cary will hold a public meeting on Meyer Material mining operations at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, in Village Hall, 655 Village Hall Drive.

Meyer Material representatives will be hosting the public meeting to provide an update on the current status of mining operations and present an option for consideration which involves the use of a dredge on the Meyer Material property.

The dredge can run quieter than existing equipment and would increase operational efficiencies, allowing the mining process to be completed by December with the use of a 24-hour work schedule. Site restoration would be completed by June 2018.

Meyer Material will provide specific information regarding the dredge equipment and answer questions from the residents at the meeting.
