Community High School District No. 155 accepts resignation of high school teacher

Community High School District No.155 Board of Education met Tuesday, Nov. 8.

MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

NOVEMBER 8, 2016 

A special meeting of the Board of Education, District 155, McHenry and Lake Counties, Illinois, was held at the Center for Education, One South Virginia Road, Crystal Lake, IL 600 14 on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

President Ted Wagner called the special meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The President directed the Secretary to call the roll. Upon the roll being called, the following members answered present: Amy Blazier, Adam Guss, Rosemary Kurtz, Gary Oberg, Dave Secrest, Ann Somers, and Ted Wagner.

Also present: Dr. Johnnie Thomas, Superintendent; Dr. Randy Davis, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources; and Steve Olson, Crystal Lake Central High School Principal. Additional names of attendance on attached sign-in sheet.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all in attendance. There were no citizens who wished to address the Board.

There being no further business, it was moved by Rosemary Kurtz and seconded by Ann Somers that the Board of Education enter into Executive Session at 7:02 p.m. to discuss the Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees of the Public Body or Legal Counsel for the Public Body, lincluding Hearing Testimony on a Complaint Lodged Against an Employee of the Public Body or Against Legal Counsel for the Public Body to Determine its Validity (Section C1). Upon the roll being called, the following members voted. 

Aye: Amy Blazier, Adam Guss, Rosemary Kurtz, Gary Oberg, Dave Secrest, Ann Somers, Ted Wagner

Nay: None

Board President Ted Wagner stated that there would be one possible item requiring action resulting from Executive Session.

It was moved by Adam Guss and seconded by Gary Oberg that the Board of Education enter into Public Session at 7:39 p.m. Upon the roll being called, the following members voted.

Aye: Amy Blazier, Adam Guss, Rosemary Kurtz, Gary Oberg, Dave Secrest, Ann Somers, Ted Wagner

Nay: None

Adam Guss moved and Ann Somers seconded the motion that the Board of Education approve the resignation of Justin Hubly per the Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees of the Public Body or Legal Counsel for the Public Body, Including Hearing Testimony on a Complaint Lodged Against an Employee of the Public Body or Against Legal Counsel for the Public Body to Determine its Validity (Section Cl). Upon the roll being called, the following members voted.

Aye: Amy Blazier, Adam Guss, Rosemary Kurtz, Gary Oberg, Dave Secrest,

Ann Somers, Ted Wagner

Nay: None

There being no further business, it was moved by Adam Guss and seconded by Rosemary Kurtz that the meeting adjourn at 7:40 p.m. Upon the roll being called, the following members voted.

Aye: Amy Blazier, Adam Guss, Rosemary Kurtz, Gary Oberg, Dave Secrest,

Ann Somers, Ted Wagner

Nay: None
