McHenry County College sophomore volleyball middle blocker Kayli Trausch recently was named to the 2016 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II All-America Second Team, according to www.njcaa.org.
Trausch finished second in Division II in solo blocks with 108, third in points with 669.5 and seventh in kills with 519. She also was 11th in total blocks with 157, 12th in points per set at 4.5 and 14th in hitting percentage at .380.
According to www.mchenry.edu, Trausch is the first NJCAA All-American for the Scots since Shaela Hayden in 2008. Trausch is the 10th Scot in program history to receive All-American honors.
The All-American recognition is yet another honor for Trausch this postseason. She was named the Illinois Skyway Conference Player of the Year and made the All-Region IV First Team and the region's All-Tournament Team.
The All-American teams were selected by the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Committee.
