Government and law enforcement employees will receive training on how to handle Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests on Nov. 3 in a seminar sponsored by and held at the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
According to a press release from Patrick Kenneally, McHenry’s state’s attorney, the seminar is part of ongoing efforts to promote “open and honest government.”
The seminar will cover the newest provisions of the FOIA and outline best practices for handling information requests.
