The Village of Cary will host a Committee of the Whole meeting on the former Maplewood School property, covering its redevelopment progress, after the Village Board meeting on Dec. 5, according to a press release from the Village.
The meeting will include a discussion on the site’s redevelopment, and will be the third such discussion since the Cary Community Consolidated School District 26 selected a developer for the project. The District decided on a developer in mid-July and the Village Board held a special meeting in late August to meet with the developer and allow local community residents to do the same. The Village Board held a second meeting in early October to continue discussions on the redevelopment, and is now preparing for its third meeting.
The Dec. 5 discussion will take place immediately following the Village Board meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. The public is invited to come to the meeting to learn about redevelopment proposals for the site.
