Harvard has a new parks chief
Harvard welcomed a new administrator, Ryan M. Knop, to run key recreational programs in city.
As superintendent of the Harvard Parks and Recreation Department, Knop will oversee daily activities and events for the aquatic center and other venues across the community, Mayor Michael Kelly said in a release.
“I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful community," Knop said in the release. "I couldn't be more excited to start this wonderful new journey to benefit and better the community that I love.”
Knop, 25, a 2010 graduate of Harvard High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation, parks and tourism from Western Illinois University.
“Knop’s strong background education, enthusiasm and robust ideas will benefit the community of Harvard immensely,” Kelly said in the release.
