Analysis: Spring Grove pays $6.44 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Spring Grove Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86.6 percent of the $383,536 the Spring Grove Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.44 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Spring Grove contributed $332,003 to the fund, which saw a $31,811 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $51,533, or 13.4 percent, in 2016.
