McHenry County issued the following announcement on May 25.
When Patrick Kenneally took the helm of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office in December of 2016, a primary goal was to try to bring as much outside legal work into the office as possible.
One of his earliest initiatives was to bring labor and employment law within the office.
In the six-month period of December 2017 to May 2018, a total of $5,482.00 was expended with outside legal firms for all employment and labor-related matters.
For that same time frame of December 2015 to May 2016, $121,605.00 was expended, and for the time frame of December 2016 through May 2017, $41,941.00 was expended.
The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office is proud of its stewardship of the public’s money, and will continue to search ways to save money in other legal areas.
