Crystal Lake Park District Board Personnel & Policy Committee met March 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call to Order: Commissioner Aquilina called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm

Commissioners Present: Zimmerman, Gallagher, Aquilina

Commissioner Absent: Martens

Staff Present: Jason Herbster, Anne Sandor

Organizational Structure Change Models

Director Herbster distributed 6 proposed organizational structure change models to the committee members.

Herbster noted the staff did review the models and gave their feedback.

The committee members narrowed the review to 3 models. The members favored model 6 and made two changes; moving the Nature Center and Colonel Palmer House from Recreation Programs and Facilities to the

Director of Planning and Development.

There will be four new positions created; Superintendent of Recreation Programs and Facilities, Cultural Arts Supervisor, Manager of Recreation Facilities and Manager of Recreation Programs. Director Herbster noted the salary grades and job descriptions will be updated after the organizational structure is completed.

Director Herbster will revise Model 6 to present to the Park Board at the meeting on March 15, 2018.

Adjourn: Commissioner Aquilina moved to adjourn the meeting at 2:50 pm. All were in favor.
