Spring Grove Fire Protection District responded to 129 calls in 2017 - 14.2 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Spring Grove included 57 fires - 37 structure fires, five vehicle fires and 15 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $447,740 in fire loss - or about $7,855 per fire.

The department also received 71 false calls.

One fire service member was injured in non fire-related incidents.

The Spring Grove Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $1,658,288 in 2017.
