Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Industry issued the following announcement on June 28.
On Friday, October 12, 2018, First National Bank and the Woodstock and Woodstock North Booster Clubs will participate in the 3rd Annual First National Challenge. The Challenge event will coincide with the Woodstock vs. Woodstock North High School football game, this year to be held at the Woodstock North High School.
The Challenge was created in 2000 by First National Bank to help increase attendance at athletic events, raise funds, and enhance awareness of local sports booster organizations in the communities we serve. Since the inaugural event, over $2 Million has been raised for local athletic booster clubs in DeKalb, Harvard, Marengo, Plano, Sugar Grove, Sandwich, Sycamore, Woodstock, and Yorkville.
Local businesses, organizations, and individuals are being “Challenged” to help raise funds that will help support athletic programs with the net proceeds distributed equally to both booster organizations. The Woodstock High School and Woodstock North High School are joining efforts and working together at one event to support both school programs. To date, the event has raised over $50 Thousand for the Woodstock Schools
In an effort to build a strong foundation for our future student athletes, they are looking for Challenge Sponsors. Sponsorship of the First National Challenge will help with student scholarships, purchase uniforms, new equipment, and will give student athletics the tools they need to succeed.
To receive sponsor benefits, a minimum $500 donation is required. For more information, please contact Lesley Pace at 815-568-3177 or lpace@fnni.com
