Village of Richmond Board of Trustees met June 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Community Development Committee meeting held at the Village Hall, 5600 Hunter Drive was called to order by Interim Chair/Trustee Robert Elliott at 5:30 PM.

Present: Trustees: Robert Elliott (Interim Chair) and Frank Peiler.

Members Absent: Chair/Trustee David Nelson.

Others Village Officials/Staff Present: None.

Approval of Minutes: The committee reviewed the Regular Community Development Committee minutes for May 15, 2018.

Trustee Peiler moved, seconded by Trustee Elliott to approve the Regular Community Development Committee minutes for May 15, 2018 as presented. The motion was approved by voice vote.

Unfinished Business: None.

Public Comments: None.

New Business: The committee announced that it would review the fence installation for 5624 at its next meeting scheduled for June 19th and make a recommendation to the full Board on June 21st.

The committee met with Event Coordinator Goebel to discuss the Richmond’s Night Out/Illinois Bicentennial event.

Subjects discussed were possible tent area, petting zoo, mini horses, goats and contest questions.

The committee discussed the installation of the new “Welcome to Richmond” signs.

Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, Trustee Peiler moved, seconded by Trustee Elliott to adjourn the June 5, 2018 Special Community Development Committee meeting. The motion was approved by voice vote.

Meeting adjourned at 6:40 PM.
