McHenry County issued the following announcement on July 23.
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, is pleased to announce that Michelle Clesceri has joined the Office as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Criminal Division.
Michelle graduated with her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California in Irvine, California.
Ms. Clesceri offers a wealth of legal experience as she was employed for fifteen years as a Deputy District Attorney in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office in Santa Ana, California. She prosecuted numerous felony and misdemeanor jury trials, including those involving robbery, kidnapping, carjacking, gang related attempted murder, child sexual assault, shaken baby, domestic violence and elder abuse. Michelle successfully prosecuted the first 15 year to life sentence for a child sexual abuse case.
Most recently, Michelle was an adjunct professor at McHenry County College where she developed a paralegal program, wrote paralegal courses, and chaired and appointed members to the Paralegal Advisory Board for the college.
We look forward to working with Ms. Clesceri as she helps further our mission of doing justice on behalf of the residents of McHenry County.
