How much has Woodstock CUSD 200 overspent over the past 10 years?

Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 accumulated $74.82 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a McHenry Times analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Woodstock CUSD 200 reported 20 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went down 23.2 percent.
