Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

2pm Welcome: David Christensen/EMA Director

 FEMA Draft Planning Considerations: Evacuation & Shelter-In-Place (see two attachments)

o Federal law mandates this

o Need to identify facilities/routes

o Notification plan/system for evacuation is a challenge

 EMA has capability to notify residents

 School Symposium was held in June; School Summit/Behavior Threat Analysis Overview was held in August

o Exciting to see all who attended

 Enbridge Pipeline tour of crude oil pump facility in Fox River Grove in July; very interesting

LEPC

 Public Comment – None

 Incidents – 2 FOIA requests, 1 Hazmat Spill

 LEPC Chairman – Position is open

 LEPC Composition per the Administrative Code

o Illinois Administrative Code governs EMA and placed responsibility of having an LEPC; prescribes that the above areas be filled; will be asking for representatives

McHenry County EOP (Emergency Operations Plan) Draft

 If you are named in the plan, you will have a copy (for official use only); others can request a copy from EMA

 Debris Management Plan-found 17 different agreements for debris removal; asked for emergency exclusion to remove waste

 EOC will go on 30 day review at the end of August, with County Board approval set for September
