Village of Prairie Grove issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
Fall Brush Pickup is scheduled for November 6th & 7th
The Public Works Department will be out with the truck and chipper collecting branches left in piles on the curb fronts of residents’ properties.
This program is intended for larger tree branches resulting from trimming or storm damage and is not for the diposal of whole trees.
No stumps or roots will be taken. All brush must be a minimum of four feet in length and between two to eight inches in diameter.
Small or thin branches can cause the chipper to jam and creates a saftey hazzard. Please be aware that any branches that can’t be put through the chipper safely will be left behind.
All other yard waste such as (leaves, clippings, small branches) should be placed in a brown paper bag (purchased at hardware stores) along with a Groot Yard Waste Sticker (purchased at the Village Hall) and left out on your regular garbage day, these will be picked up by Groot.
