Q2 real estate sales report: Cary

Median prices declined in Cary over last year, and are down 13 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to second quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From April to June, 117 homes sold in Cary for a median price of $223,000. That's 3.4 percent lower than median home sale prices for the second quarter of 2017.

In the second quarter, 5 homes in Cary were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Cary was $6,693.97 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 2.9 percent of their home's value in taxes.
