Marengo Community High School District 154 Board met Nov. 26.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

President Henning called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.

Present: Henning, Dujmovich, Ranzino, Martin (arrived at 7:08pm), Volkening and Kanaly 

Absent: Torman

Administration: Engelbrecht, Fink, Shepard

Guests: none

Press: none

Public Comments: none

Moved by Todd Volkening and seconded by Tony Martin to approve the consent agenda items and NOT release the executive session minutes of October 29th, 2018.

Roll Call Vote: 6 Ayes, 0 Nays.

Consent Agenda Items:

Minutes of the regular and executive session of October 29th, 2018 meeting. Approval of financial obligations, treasurer’s report

Receipt of October Trust Summary Report

E1. Moved by Jodie Kanaly and seconded by Farrah Ranzino to approve Superintendent Engelbrecht put facility safety updates out to bid.

Voice Vote: Motion Carried

E.2. Moved by Tony Martin and seconded by Jodie Kanaly to approve the Personnel Report. Voice Vote: Motion Carried

E.3. moved by Farrah Ranzino and seconded by Todd Volkening to approve the first reading of the list of 25 proposed Board Policy changes as assigned to individual board members for review before consideration at the next board meeting.

E.4. Moved by Todd Volkening and seconded by Jodie Kanaly to approve the proposed estimated aggregate tax levy on 2018 property tax assessments, which is less than 105% of the amount of taxes extended on 2017 assessments and the Truth in Taxation Certificate of Compliance. Voice Vote: Motion Carried

E.5. Moved by Linda Dujmovich and seconded by Jodie Kanaly to approve the 2018 Annual Financial Report.

Voice Vote: Motion Carried

E.6. Four Board members were recognized at the Master Board Member Program Level 1. H. The Superintendent’s report was presented.

F. Moved by Todd Volkening and seconded by Tony Martin to go into executive session at 8:41pm to discuss personnel, litigation, real estate, negotiations and student discipline.

Roll Call Vote: 6 Ayes, 0 Nays. Motion Carried

The board returned to the regular meeting at 10:03 pm

G. Moved by Tony Martin and seconded by Todd Volkening to dismiss employee #992. Voice Vote: Motion Carried.

There being no additional business, Tony Martin moved the meeting be adjourned at 10:05 pm.
