Report: Richmond-Burton spent $16,307 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Richmond-Burton Community High School District 157 is up 12.7 percent from five years ago, according to a McHenry Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mchenry County school district spent $14,472 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $16,307 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 781 to 666.

Richmond-Burton's spending in 2017-18 was 22.3 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
