Marengo home prices fall in February 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2017 in Marengo fell by $2,000 while total sales decreased by 14.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $125,500 - a 1.6% decrease over the $127,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Marengo in February 2016.

The median sales tax in Marengo for 2017 was $4,099.78. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,992.90. This marks an increase of 2.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.3%.
