Algonquin (McHenry County) home prices rise in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in Algonquin in McHenry County rose by $7,250 while total sales increased by 63.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were 49 homes sold, with a median sale price of $233,000 - a 3.2% increase over the $225,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 30 homes sold in Algonquin in May 2016.

The median sales tax in Algonquin for 2017 was $6,495.14. In 2016, the median sales tax was $6,407.60. This marks an increase of 1.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
