Lake in the Hills home prices rise in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in Lake in the Hills rose by $10,500 while total sales increased by 16.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were 78 homes sold, with a median sale price of $217,500 - a 5.1% increase over the $207,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 67 homes sold in Lake in the Hills in May 2016.

The median sales tax in Lake in the Hills for 2017 was $5,878.95. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,895.40. This marks an decrease of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
