Lake in the Hills home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Lake in the Hills rose by $12,250 while total sales increased by 30.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 124 homes sold, with a median sale price of $173,750 - a 7.6% increase over the $161,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 95 homes sold in Lake in the Hills in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Lake in the Hills for 2017 was $5,878.95. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,895.40. This marks an decrease of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.4%.
