Huntley Community School District 158 issued the following announcement on April 4.
Huntley 158 has devoted significant resources to helping students cope with anxiety. Across the country anxiety is affecting students, from temporary stress to ongoing and chronic disorders, at increasingly high rates.
From informational resources to visits with therapy animals, Huntley 158 is working in a variety of ways to help combat this issue. Huntley High School offered a school-wide informational lesson on anxiety earlier this year, led by members of its Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) Team.
Members of that team, Anne Sharkey, Karen Miller, Alyssa Gilleland, Laura Jenkins, and Tami Broskow join us on this episode of Huntley 158 Today to discuss these and other efforts underway to assist struggling students.
