2018 Recap: Parolees in Harvard convicted of drug crimes
The data shows that three men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for drug crimes was 31. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 36-year-old man sentenced in 2017.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Eduardo M. Garcia. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017 when he was 19 years old. He is now 21.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
