City of Crystal Lake issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.
From delicious and elegant dining options to quick and satisfying take out choices, Crystal Lake is excited to see the expanding dining choices opening up soon.
This winter, look for the openings of a number of new restaurants including Mookies Steak & Seafood at 444-450 W. Virginia Ave, Vine and Plate Wine Bar & Provisions, 414 W. Virginia Street, and McAlister’s Deli, and Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers at 5500 Northwest Highway. With all of the new food options, it’s good to know that The Edge Fitness Club at 800 COG Circle will also be opening next year to help burn off those extra calories!
On the retail side, the City recently welcomed Holiday Envy at 1540 Carlemont Drive, a holiday décor store, and Fireplaces by Design at 435 Angela Lane, a place to design a fireplace to cozy up to this winter season. On the entertainment front, Spartan Axe Throwing at 975 Nimco Drive, recently opened to groups and individuals wanting to try their hand at a unique activity. If you are looking for a new place to shop for specialty products or grab a bite to eat, check out Indian Spices Grocers and Restaurant at 1295 Randall Road, serving up traditional Indian dishes and selling unique Indian products.
For specialty gifts with a purpose, Naturally Gifted recently opened at 6500 Northwest Highway, Suite 2B, and offers vocational enrichment and hands-on skills training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing them an opportunity to run a store with candles, soaps, lotions and other bath products that are all natural, organic, and made with therapeutic-grade essential oils that they create.
