Alden Hebron School District 19 Board of Education met Oct. 2.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

President Norton called the regular meeting of the Board of Education of Alden-Hebron Community Consolidated Unit School District #19 to order at 6:04pm.

Roll Call

PRESENT: Mr. Norton, Mrs. Combs, Mr. Madsen, Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Berg, Mrs. Smith 

ABSENT: Mr. Winkelman (entered meeting at 6:38pm)

ALSO PRESENT:

Dr. Debbie Ehlenburg-Interim Superintendent, Tiffany Elswick-ASST. Supt./ES Principal, Laura Martinez-Illinois Association of School Boards

Board Comments

Mr. Norton encouraged those present to come out and support the Alden-Hebron student athletes in their fall sports.

Consent Agenda

The following items were reviewed under the Consent Agenda

*A. Approval of September 18, 2019 Regular Meeting Minutes *B. Approve donation of proceeds (after expenses), of Homecoming week HSVB and HSFB games to American

Cancer Society

Mrs. Smith moved, Mr. Madsen seconded to approve the consent agenda as presented. 

AYES: Mr. Norton, Mrs. Combs, Mr. Madsen, Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Berg, Mrs. Smith 

NAYS: None

ABSENT: Mr. Winkelman

Motion Carried

Executive Session

Mrs. Johnson moved, Mrs. Smith seconded to go into Executive Session for the purpose of self-evaluation practices and procedures, or professional ethics, when meeting with a representative of a statewide association of which the District is a member at 6:07pm.

AYES: Mr. Norton, Mrs. Combs, Mr. Madsen, Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Berg, Mrs. Smith

NAYS: None

ABSENT: Mr. Winkelman Motion Carried

Returned to open session at 9:36pm

Adjournment

Mrs. Johnson moved, Mr. Madsen seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:37 pm. Motion carried.
