162 McHenry County residents in their twenties test positive for COVID-19

As of May 21, there have been 162 McHenry County residents in their twenties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 1,165 residents in their twenties in the county who had been tested, meaning that 13 percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through May 21, there have been 1,282 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 67 deaths from the coronavirus in McHenry County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
