Analysis: Spring Grove pays $6.99 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Spring Grove Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.5 percent of the $386,880 the Spring Grove Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $6.99 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Spring Grove contributed $338,500 to the fund, which saw a $3,765 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $48,380, or 12.5 percent, in 2018.
