Analysis: Huntley pays $2.85 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Huntley FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.7 percent of the $1,953,133 the Huntley FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.85 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Huntley contributed $1,439,554 to the fund, which saw a $141,579 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $504,725, or 25.8 percent, in 2018. Another $8,854 came from other unspecified sources.
