City of Marengo City Council met June 22.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

In light of the current COVID-19 public health emergency, Governor J.B. Pritzker's Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation, and the City's Continuation of Proclamation of Local Disaster Emergency in response thereto, the Mayor has dete1mined that an in-person meeting is not practical or prudent because of the disaster.

Due to the COVID-19 this regular City Council meeting was conducted by telephone.

3. Public Comment - Interested parties are invited to speak for two minutes. Any person wishing to address the City Council must approach the podium, be recognized by the Mayor, and provide their name for the record.

4. Approval of Minutes - June 8, 2020 Regular Meeting Minutes

5. Approval of the List of Bills -Motion to approve the list of bills in the amount of$61,220.19

6. New Business

a. Motion to adopt an ordinance issuing a special use pe1mit for an.adult-use cannabis craft grower, with a variance to allow for said use to abut a residentially zoned property- 21906 West Grant Highway - Verdant Vue LLC

b. Motion to approve a proposal from Medora Corporation for a Gridbee GS-12 water tank mixer in an amount not to exceed $17,797

c. Discussion and direction with Teresa Nortillo, economic development consultant, regarding ongoing projects, goals, and objectives

d. Discussion and direction on options for software update - BS&A and Decision Systems

9. Reports and Statements from City Council

10. Executive Session to discuss pending litigation pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2( c )(11 ). Due to the COVID-19, this executive session will be conducted by telephone. The City Council will be provided a separate call in number for the purposes of executive session. No final action will be taken during or after the executive session.
