Community Unit School District 300 Board Construction and Facilities Oversight Committee met May 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the board and the committee:

1. Call to Order

Meeting called to order at 5:34 p.m.

1. 1. Pledge of Allegiance

2. Public Participation

None

3. Approval of previous meeting minutes

April 14, 2020, CFOC Meeting minutes were approved as presented.

4. Items for Discussion

4. 1. Ms. Harkin reviewed the FOB System and Door Access RFP. The administration would like to utilize the RFP unit pricing to install FOBs for our transportation and B&G buildings. The projects will be paid for out of the transportation and B&G budget. This information was provided for informational purposes as the RFP has already been approved.

4. 2. Proposed Capital Projects - Summer 2021

Ms. Harkin reviewed the Master Facility Plan and the list of proposed summer 2021 capital projects. At the May board meeting, The Administration will provide a recommendation to begin design work for the proposed projects. The administration will continue monitoring the district finances and will give an update to the CFOC before bids are released for direction to release the bids.

4. 3. Tentative 2020-2021 Board Committee Meeting Schedule

Ms. Harkin asked the committee for input for the 20-21 Committee Meeting schedule. The committee agreed to continue our current practices, which are to hold the meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. However, the committee made the request we need to be flexible with starting times dependent upon agenda items.

The next Board Construction & Facility Oversight Committee is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 5:15 p.m.
