Board President Anne Miller made a statement on behalf of the Board regarding recent student behavior and racist comments.

Dr. Scarpino commented that parents should be monitoring and guiding their students.

Nancy Zettler commented that hate speech will not be tolerated and urged witnesses to continue to come forward.

Steve Fiorentino commented that this was a teachable moment for everyone.

Leslie LaMarca commented that the community, school and parents have to do better and thanked the students for coming forward.

Mary McNicholas commented only way to know is if students speak up.

Superintendent Heid commented he had gratitude to students for breaking the blame cycle. District 300 will not tolerate hate speech of any kind whether directed at sexual preference, religion, skin color, language, or disability and we are committed to eradicate.

Steve Fiorentino announced graduation is Friday and Saturday. Congrats to the Class of 2020!

Superintendent Heid announced that meeting will be back in person starting July 14, 2020.
