Marengo Community High School District 154 issued the following announcement on Dec. 15.
Parents: If you require a change to your student's learning group assignment for second semester (removal from the hybrid into the all remote cohort OR removal from all remote into the hybrid cohort) we have extended the due date to complete the survey to January 5, 2021. Click here to complete the survey if a change is needed. Administratively, we have been reviewing data over the course of the semester, and it is apparent that the students in an all-remote learning environment have substantially more failures compared to students who are in-person learning. If your student has been participating remotely and you are concerned about their grades, please consider changing them to in-person instruction. You can check your student’s progress on the parent portal and first semester report cards will be mailed home on January 14, 2021. If after receiving your student's report card you would like to change your student's learning group assignment please email Dr. Angela Fink at finka@mchs154.org. Please include the following in your email:
- Student first and last name
- Grade
- Student ID
- Rationale for the change
