Cary Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 5.
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Anyone can be #trafficked, it happens in plain sight in all communities, including yours. The best action you can take is to learn how to spot the signs of trafficking. Let’s speak up for those who can’t in hopes to #EndHumanTrafficking.
Did you know our county has a Human Trafficking Law Enforcement Task Force of experienced investigators who diligently work human trafficking cases within McHenry County? In 2020, they have made several arrests in the county while working with the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office.
