Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 15
It's that time of year again that we are looking for volunteers for the Festival of Lights Parade.

Setup Volunteers: needed from 4:30-6:30PM to help put out traffic cones to close the streets. Volunteers age 14 and up would be a great fit!
Crowd Control: needed from 6:00-9:00PM to remind spectators to stay up on the curb for safe viewing. We may need help with the placement of barricades to restrict traffic and crowds. You will also be assisting parade marshals in keeping streets clear(and safe) for parade vehicles. Lastly, cones will need to be stacked after the parade and placed at the corners. Adults 18 and older only.
Parade Marshal: will greet assigned parade units and help them set up in the proper location, reminding them of all parade safety rules (list will be provided). Marshals will walk with assigned parade units along the parade route, ensuring compliance with rules, assisting crowd control, and ensuring safe passage for parade units. Adults 18 and older only.
