With the retirement of Ann Viger after 30 years of employment, the Crystal Lake Park District welcomes Amy Olson, PLA, ASLA, CLARB, as the Manager of Park Planning and Development.
Amy brings a broad mix of project management and design experience—from site assessments, tree evaluations, design services, materials coordination, to overseeing construction for landscape projects including commercial and retail spaces, corporate campuses and private residential projects. Amy has a Bachelor’s of Science in Landscape Architecture and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture form the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Amy is passionate about landscape architecture and our environment, especially the interaction of people within spaces. Amy hopes to inspire others to enjoy nature by creating sustainable, beautiful, purposeful and functional spaces while sharing best plant management and care practices.
