Village of Johnsburg Village Board met March 15.

President Hettermann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Hall.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION - Ryan Behrendt of 1213 Rolling Lane attended regarding notice he received that the parking of his Xfinity boom truck was in violation of Village ordinances. His neighbor Wade Lindstrom of 1211 Rolling Lane spoke on his behalf and questioned if he can get an exemption from the ordinance as he is an on call technician. President Hettermann expressed that although he understands the circumstances, the Village cannot selectively enforce its ordinances. He asked that Chief VonAllmen look into the matter further and follow up with Mr. Behrendt.
OMNIBUS AGENDA - Trustee Curry moved to approve the Omnibus Agenda. Trustee Foreman seconded the motion. All Trustees present voted aye on the roll. Motion carried.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT – President Hettermann stated that all agenda items for Committee of the Whole meeting need to be provided in advance so that they can be included on the agenda. He also requested recommendations for committee appointments.
ORDINANCE 21-22-34 GRANTING A MAP AMENDMENT TO B-5 ZONING The Board performed a first read of Ordinance 21-22-34 which, if approved would rezone the property at 2512 Johnsburg Road from B-2, General Business District to B-5 Downtown Business District. Village Administrator Sofiakis explained that the property is situated in the Downtown Business District and the
B-5 zoning was specifically established to accommodate the smaller business zoned lots within the District. The matter will be included on the April 5, 2022 Omnibus Agenda for consideration.
BID OPENING – SOUTH SOLON ROAD PROPERTY -President Hettermann opened bids received for the potential sale of Real Property owned by the Village on South Solon Road. Four bids were received as follows: Walter Weidner Family $15,050 per acre for a total of $225,750; Ryan Stade – $16,150 per acre for a total of $242,250; Vinny Lamontagna $52,500 for the 15 acre parcel; and Mid America Green Energy - $475,000 for 15 acres. It was noted that the bid received from Mid-America Green Energy included a contingency to permit time for due diligence and the pursuit of zoning variances to be completed within 1 year. President Hettermann stated that the bids will be further reviewed and discussed at a future meeting.
ADJOURNMENT - Trustee Curry moved to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Foreman seconded the motion. All Trustees voted aye. Motion to adjourn was carried at 7:29p.m.
