The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1940 to promote, support, and expand businesses, has added a veteran of the chamber and leader in the community as President. Randy Leggee, a 14-year member of the chamber and recent Director of Development at Pioneer Center for Human Services, will join the chamber as its new President starting Nov. 15, 2022.
Randy brings 37 years of leadership skills, with his last four as a Director of Development, where he led efforts at the Pioneer Center to increase community outreach for new and existing donors. He also assisted in creating new levels of awareness for Pioneer through its website and all areas of social media. One of his most recent successes was the creation of a committee of volunteers with no ties to Pioneer and led them to put together Pioneer’s first-ever golf outing, which became one of their most profitable fundraising events ever.
“My background touches every level of the chamber - sales, management, business development, financial planning, volunteering, and most importantly, fundraising. My ability to communicate at every level will be key to the chamber's Small Business, Corporate and Not-for-Profit membership success,” says Randy.
Ken Pringle, Board Chair of the Chamber, added “Having been an integral part of the Chamber and being involved in many of its established committees made the decision to hire Randy easier for us. “Add in his leadership skills over the last four years with The Pioneer Center and it leads us to believe we have the right person to lead the Chamber and our community into the future.”
