City of Harvard Administration Committee met Sept. 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The Finance Committee meeting was called to order 6:05 P.M. Committee members present: Chairwoman Lisa Haderlein, Aldermen Dan Carncross, Matt Perkins and Charlie Gorman. Also present were Mayor Michael Kelly, Finance Director Deb Bejot, City Administrator Dave Nelson and Matt Beran from Lauterbach & Amen.

Public Comment

None

Review Audit FY Ending April 30, 2022

Matt presented the year end 2022 annual financial statement, and management letter. There was discussion concerning some of the issues noted in the management letter and Finance Director Bejot will work on those when the new Administrator is appointed.

New Business

Mayor Kelly informed the committee where he is at with finding a replacement for the City Administrator. There are 19 applicants of which Mayor Kelly is interviewing preliminarily 9-10 candidates. After that, the list will be narrowed to 3-4 candidates of which the Mayor would like to present those candidates to the committee for an additional interview. Possible dates for those interviews are September 28th, 29th and October 5th, 6th.

Administrator Nelson informed the committee that it is property tax levy time again and that he and Finance Director Bejot have put together materials for the committee to review. Finance Director Bejot will be prepared to present the findings. A meeting was scheduled for October 11th 6:30 to discuss the property tax levy.

Motion made by Alderman Perkins seconded by Alderman Carncross to adjourn. All ayes motion passed Meeting adjourned at 07:15 pm
