McHenry County voter turnout in Illinois’ April 4 Consolidated Election was 26,506, or about 12% of 225,772 registered voters.
That's according to the McHenry County Clerk's unofficial results.
Countywide, between 2011 and 2023, the number of ballots cast increased by1,084. Over the same time period, the number of registered voters rose by 23,278.
McHenry County voters cast 17% more ballots -- an increase of 3,867 -- in 2023 than in the last Consolidated Election, on April 6, 2021.
Typically, Consolidated Elections include contests for elected office in cities and villages, parks, library and fire protection districts and school boards.
