Ugaste to host 'my annual Outside Children's Fair' June 24

Rep. Dan Ugaste (R-St. Charles) has announced that he will host a children's event on June 24 in Geneva.

"Next month, I’m hosting my annual Outside Children’s Fair. Join us at the Chapelstreet Church in Geneva on Saturday, June 24th from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM for this FREE event," he wrote May 24 on Facebook, adding a link to the event on his website.

Ugaste has served in the Illinois General Assembly since January 2019, and hosts the event annually, he wrote.

The 2023 Outside Kid’s Fair will include demonstrations from 9:30 a.m. to noon from the Kane County Sheriff’s K9, a drawing for a bicycle, and DancEncounter School of Dance, and more, according to Ugaste's website. There will be a variety of activities and information, such as face painting, "touch a truck" opportunities are expected, including a medical helicopter, fire and police vehicles, equipment such as a snow plow, bucket truck, dump truck, and more. The website added that there will be a variety of participants, including the Village of South Elgin, World Martial Arts Academy, Geneva Parks District, the City of St. Charles, Juice Plus, the Illinois Department of Transportation and others.

In his work with the General Assembly, Ugaste is a member of several committees, such as serving as Republican Party spokesperson on the Financial Institutions & Licensing, Judiciary - Civil, and Labor & Commerce committees. He also serves the Police & Fire, Prescription Drug Affordability Committee, Public Utilities Committee, and is sub co-chairman of the Civil Procedure & Tort Liability and Commercial & Property committees, as well as the committee for Business & Industry Innovation.

A graduate of Lake Forest High School and Lake Forest College, Ugaste obtained his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University. He is also a 25-year employee and shareholder at Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie and Lowry in Chicago, according to his biography.
