Public Comment

The Board will accept public comment on items included on the meeting agenda or of a general nature. Public comment is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.

Village President and Trustee Reports (Parks; Planning & Zoning; Special Events)

Board members have the opportunity to report on any topic during the public meeting.

1. Approval: Consent Agenda – Approval via One Vote for All

All matters listed under Item 1, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the Village Board and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. If a separate discussion is desired, that item should be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately.

A. Village Board Meeting Minutes – June 20, 2023

The Board will consider the approval of previous meeting minutes.

B. Accounts Payable – July 6, 2023

The Board will consider the payment of bills.

C. Treasurer’s Report – May 2023

The Board will consider the approval of the monthly treasurer’s report.

D. Ordinance 2023-11, Amending Code of Ordinances Pertaining to Parks Offenses

The Board will consider the approval of an ordinance that would limit fires at Village parks to existing permanent grills at the parks, prohibit the parking or storage of trailers at Village parks, and prohibit the transport or use of gas cans in Village parks. The ordinance would also create fines for these offenses and increase the fine for vehicle parking violations in Village parks.

2. Approval: Award of Bid, 2023 Sidewalk Improvements

The Board will consider awarding the bid for the 2023 Sidewalk Improvements Program. However, as the bids received were substantially higher than anticipated, the project may not move forward.

3. Discussion: Business Capital Assistance Program Request – Bruneau

The Board will consider a request for a Business Capital Assistance Program grant for Bruneaus Restaurant Concepts, LLC for the new food vendor at the Metra station.
