Village of Fox River Grove Village Board met March 19.

The Board will accept public comment on items included on the meeting agenda or of a general nature.

Public comment is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.

Village President and Trustee Reports (Parks; Planning & Zoning; Special Events)

Board members have the opportunity to report on any topic during the public meeting.

Staff Monthly Reports

The Board has the opportunity to ask staff questions regarding the monthly staff reports.

1. Approval: Consent Agenda – Approval via One Vote for All

All matters listed under Item 1, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the Village Board and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. If a separate discussion is desired, that item should be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately.

A. Village Board Meeting Minutes – March 5, 2024

The Board will consider the approval of previous meeting minutes.

B. Accounts Payable – March 19, 2024

The Board will consider the approval of the accounts payable reports and payment of the bills.

C. Award of Bid, 2024 Sidewalk Program, Landmark Contractors

The Board will consider awarding the bid for the 2024 Sidewalk Program to Landmark Contractors, Inc. of Huntley. Landmark was the low bidder at $876,920.52 for Option 2 to complete the entire project.

D. Award of Bid, Block B Building Demolition, Omega III LLC

The Board will consider awarding the bid for the 2024 Demolition Sites project to Omega III LLC.

Omega III was the low bidder at $350,004.78 to complete the entire project.

E. Construction Engineering Services Agreement, 2024 Sidewalk Program

The Board will consider authorizing the Village Administrator to execute an agreement with Baxter & Woodman to provide construction engineering services for the 2024 Sidewalk Program.

2. Discussion: Block B Demolition Update

This is a standing item on the agenda for the Village Board to discuss any updates pertaining to the demolition of the buildings on Block B (properties along Northwest Highway from Illinois Street to Lincoln Avenue). Bids were opened on March 12th, and work can begin subject to contract award.
