Public Comment

The Board will accept public comment on items included on the meeting agenda or of a general nature.

Public comment is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.

Village President and Trustee Reports (Parks; Planning & Zoning; Special Events)

Board members have the opportunity to report on any topic during the public meeting.

1. Approval: Consent Agenda – Approval via One Vote for All

All matters listed under Item 1, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the Village Board and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. If a separate discussion is desired, that item should be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately.

A. Village Board and Executive Session Meeting Minutes – March 19, 2024 and Village Board Minutes – March 21, 2024

The Board will consider the approval of previous meeting minutes.

B. Accounts Payable – March 19, 2024

The Board will consider the approval of the accounts payable reports and payment of the bills.

C. Treasurer’s Report – February 2024

The Board will consider the approval of the monthly treasurer’s report.

D. Intergovernmental Agreement for McHenry County Narcotics Task Force

The Board will consider the approval of an intergovernmental agreement with McHenry County which shall govern the terms of the Police Department’s participation with assisting the McHenry County Narcotics Task Force in certain law enforcement activities.

E. Waive Raffle Fee & Fidelity Bond Requirement for Lions Club Raffles June 22, 2024

The Board will consider waiving the fee and fidelity bond requirement for the Lions Club Raffles to be held June 22, 2024.

F. Waive Park, Sound and Temporary Liquor License Permit Fees, Lions Club - Fireworks July 6, 2024; Arts & Crafts Fair July 20, 2024; Fox Fest August 23-25, 2024.

The Board will consider waiving park, sound, and temporary liquor license fees associated with the Fox River Grove Lions Club assisting with the annual Fireworks, Lions Club Arts & Crafts Fair, and Fox Fest.

2. Public Hearing: Fiscal Year 2024/25 Budget

Per the Village Code, a public hearing for the budget is required before its final approval.

3. Discussion: Block B Demolition Update

This is a standing item on the agenda for the Village Board to discuss any updates pertaining to the demolition of the buildings on Block B (properties along Northwest Highway from Illinois Street to Lincoln Avenue). Work is currently anticipated to begin mid-April.
