In July 2022, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force received information about Norman Brown's possession of large amounts of cocaine in the Woodstock area. The Task Force actively investigated Brown and discovered that he maintained narcotics in a home in Johnsburg. Upon obtaining permission to search the residence, authorities found a significant quantity of cocaine.
Brown was apprehended separately near the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility during an unrelated incident.
McHenry County State's Attorney Patrick D. Kenneally acknowledged the diligence and investigative work of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Task Force. "Their thorough investigation led to a successful prosecution performed by McHenry County Assistant State's Attorney Fara Momen," Kenneally stated.
