On January 24, 2022, four victims entered their car to go to a store. Quran Broomfield and his co-offenders approached the car, ordered everyone out, and took their phones and personal effects at gunpoint. The offenders unsuccessfully tried to enter the victims’ home, upon which Broomfield fired several times at the house upon leaving. One of the victims sustained a gunshot wound in the shoulder by a co-offender. Broomfield, a juvenile at the time of the incident, was subsequently charged as an adult for this offense.

McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally recognizes the hard work done by the Woodstock and Rockford Police Departments. This case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney William Bruce.
