Village of Huntley Zoning of Board of Appeals met June 10

CALL TO ORDER

Chairwoman Dawn Ellison called to order the meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Huntley on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., from the Municipal Complex Village Board Room at 10987 Main Street, Huntley, Illinois 60142.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Chairwoman Ellison led the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL

PRESENT: Members Ron Hahn, Joseph Holtorf, Jeff Peterson, Don Walz, Dennis O’Leary, and Chairwoman Dawn Ellison.

ABSENT: Member Terra DeBaltz

IN ATTENDANCE: Director of Development Services Charles Nordman, Assistant Director of Development Services Scott Bernacki, and Senior Planner Nick Arquette.

PUBLIC COMMENT

There were no public comments.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A. Approval of the May 13, 2024 Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting Minutes

Chairwoman Ellison requested a Motion from the Board.   

A MOTION was made to approve the May 13, 2024 Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting Minutes.

MOTION:  Member Dennis O’Leary

SECOND:  Member Ron Hahn

AYES: Members Ron Hahn, Joseph Holtorf, Jeff Peterson, Dennis O’Leary, Don Walz, and Chairwoman Dawn Ellison

NAYS: None

ABSTAIN:  None

MOTION CARRIED  6:0:0

PUBLIC HEARING(S)

Petition No. 24-06.01, Nicholas Barkoozis, 11445 Middletown Lane, Simplified Residential Zoning Variation to allow a fence in the Corner Side and Front Yards in the “R-2” Single Family Detached Residence District.

Staff requested a motion to continue the petition to the June 24, 2024 Zoning Board of Appeals meeting.

Chairwoman Ellison requested a motion to continue the public hearing.

A MOTION was made to continue the public hearing for Petition No. 24-06.01 to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals on Monday, June 24th, at 6:30 PM.
