State Senator Craig Wilcox | Illinois General Assembly
Today marks National First Responders Day, an occasion dedicated to honoring the bravery and dedication of those who serve on the front lines. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, approximately 4.6 million individuals in the United States work as career or volunteer first responders. These include firefighters, police officers, and paramedics who often risk their lives for public safety.
In Illinois, residents are encouraged to express gratitude towards first responders by acknowledging their contributions within local communities.
Senator Craig Wilcox has announced two additional IPASS on Demand events as part of his community outreach efforts for 2024. The first event is scheduled for today at Algonquin Township offices in Crystal Lake from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A second event will be held on November 4 at McHenry City Hall from noon until 6:00 PM. These events aim to assist residents in updating their IPASS transponders with new sticker technology.
Additionally, Senator Wilcox is inviting constituents to submit photos and stories of veterans for display at the Illinois Capitol's Wall of Honor from November 11-25 in recognition of Veterans Day. Submissions are due by November 8 and can be sent via email or mail.
Recently, Senator Wilcox was recognized as a "Friend of Agriculture" by the Illinois Farm Bureau during a presentation at Richardson Farm in Spring Grove. This award highlights his support for agriculture within the state’s legislative framework.
